Professor Chris Semsarian is the Director of two internationally renowned, specialised multidisciplinary clinics in Sydney:

These multidisciplinary, bulk-billed clinics are held at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney. Prof Semsarian is an internationally recognised expert with over 25 years experience in the diagnosis and management of a range of genetic heart diseases including the primary cardiomyopathies, such as hypertrophic (HCM), dilated (DCM), arrhythmogenic (ARVC or ACM), and left ventricular noncompaction (LVNC) cardiomyopathies; and the inherited arrhythmia syndromes, such as long QT syndrome (LQTS), catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (CPVT), and Brugada syndrome. Professor Semsarian also leads the clinical assessment and management of families following sudden cardiac death, or a resuscitated cardiac arrest. The clinics are attended by a team of cardiologists and cardiac genetic counsellors, with expertise in genetic heart diseases. The service also includes state-of-the-art genetic testing for a variety of inherited heart diseases, including post-mortem genetic testing, i.e. the "molecular autopsy".
